When I discovered how to do vinyl transfers I put Swag Sack onto CD so I can listen to it everywhere as its one of my fave ever records. Thanks for posting the sesh! Top band. Please make Convienence on line somewhere - I've also lost my tape version.

SteveAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32404167.post-39150149532112027992007-04-15T20:17:00.000+00:002007-04-15T20:17:00.000+00:00I still listen to Bob now and have aquired the old...I still listen to Bob now and have aquired the old singles on vinyl via ebay. Do you have one, or do you have any suggestions where I could get one? Thought you might like to know that I managed to wangle CD-quality copies of our first two Peel sessions and the Simon Mayo session (1988) from the BBC a few years back. I'll try and post them sometime. If anyone had a silmilar quality copy of the 3rd session, I'd be most grateful.

I'm still writing and making music, most of it I keep to myself, but some I release one way or another. Most of my musical activity is with a hilarious bunch of nutters down in West Penwith, Cornwall (where I now live), in a 10-piece ska band called Pondlife.

It's good to find people talking about BOB...I don't get the chance much these days.

Richard (of BOB)

ps. Is it some kind of spooky coincidence that the dude at the top of the page with the cat on his shoulder is one of my forebears?!

rXAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32404167.post-1168941672053937222007-01-16T10:01:00.000+00:002007-01-16T10:01:00.000+00:00thankyou ever so for putting this up - my tape of...thankyou ever so for putting this up - my tape of this was eaten long ago.
i put out the first couple of bob singles, and swag sack, on my disasterous and hilariously run sombrero records, and put them on endlessly at our club - the cool trout basement, at portlands.
they really were a fabulous turn and i'm mystified that they seemed to've been lost in all the c86 nostalgia.
if you want copies of the records as a thankyou for saving the sesions please get in touch .

alAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
